Rooted in observation and action. We believe structure is the antidote to the current worrisome state of healthcare and food security. Before prescribing, we measure. Before planting, we study the soil. Before advocating, we verify.

We prioritise research over rhetoric. We track the moisture in the soil before we plant the seed of change. Every program we run produces data, and every dataset informs the next program. It is a closed loop of learning.

The Rosemary represents healing, memory, and medicinal heritage — a plant that thrives in difficult soil. The Bee represents industry, community, and the pollination of ideas across people and places. Together, they are the spirit of Rustic Garden.

Our primary base is in Kavutiri, Embu County, Kenya — in the highland region east of Mount Kenya. The landscape, soil type, and community culture of this area are central to all our research.
